Treking from Chamonix to Zermat - 6 days Glacier Walking

Program:

Day 1 : (↗ 502m ↘ 0m)  Tour village - chairlift col de Balme (2200m)- Refuge Albert 1er (2702m)  Crampon technic revision on the Tour glacier.

Day 2 : (↗ 586m ↘ 1094m)  Refuge Albert 1er (2702m)- Tour Glacier - col sup du Tour(3288m) - Trient Glacier – Orny Glacier  – Chairlift de la breya (2194m) -  Champex  Village (1466m)

Day 3 : (↗ 1267m ↘ 315m)   Champex (1466m)- Taxi to Mauvoisin Dam (1976m)- Gietroz Glacier  - col de Cheilon (3243m) – Cabane des Dix (2928m)

Day 4 : (↗ 922m ↘ 690m)    Cabane des Dix (2928m)- Pigne d’Arolla ( 3790m)- Cabane des Vignettes (3160m)

Day 5 : (↗ 1259m ↘ 985m)     Cabane des Vignettes (3160m)- Otemma glacier (3037m) -  Col de l’Eveque (3382m) - Arolla Glacier - plan Bertol (2520m) -  Cabane Bertol (3311m)

Day 6 : (↗ 618m ↘ 2107m)      Cabane de Bertol (3311m) – Montminé Glacier (3200m) - Tête blanche (3707m)- Stokji Glacier– Zermat (1600m) - Return taxi to Chamonix

Prices:

  • 1 -2 pers    380 € / day
  • 3 - 4 pers   400 € / day
  • 5 - 6 pers   420 € / day

This price includes guiding fee and supervision and the loan of technical equipment

Additional Information

No real technical difficulties but as the trek occurs at altitude, it is necessary to be an experienced walker and have a good physical condition with practising an endurance sport, such as running or cycling.

At any one time, the guide has the right to modify the itinerary, according to the weather conditions and the physical aptitude of the participants
