Aiguille du Midi Ascent - Glacier Walking 2 days

Program:

Day 1

RDV at 8h30 in front of the Montenvers Train Station
Train ride to Montenvers.
A walking path will take us to the equipped section (ladders and chains) and descend onto the glacier where we will proceed on the Mer de Glace and Tacul glacier to the Géant séracs (ice formations) and take another equipped passage leading to the Requin hut (refuge at 2516m and overnight stay).

Day 2

After progressing through the ice formations, we will attain the glacier once more, crossing a crevassed zone, which, depending on the conditions, may present a certain difficulty.
Then, more ice formations and finally progressing to the Col du Rognon, where we will have the Aiguille du Midi in our sights
From there, we will cross the Midi basin towards the Aiguille du Midi ridge and reach the summit where we will take the cable car back down to Chamonix.

This price includes guiding fee and supervision and the loan of technical equipment

Additional Information

Experienced walker necessary and to be well prepared physically, as a 5hr walk each day is involved.  

The verticality of the ladders can be daunting to certain people along with crossing the crevassed zone.  Importance of the altitude of 3800m.
