Aiguille du Tour 3540m

Program

Day 1:  Ascent to the Albert 1er refuge via the cable car and chair lift to the Col de Balme 2100m and taking the walking path which leads to the refuge.

Day 2:  Departure from the refuge just before sunrise, with a 15 minute or so walk on the rocky terrain before reaching the glacier.

Cramponning up and walking upwards for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours with those partaking in the Tête Blanche ascent, we will change direction towards the Col du Tour and thereafter onto the Swiss side and ascending on the Trient glacer.  At the rimaye, we will break for a pause and then follow on up a steep slope to a rocky ridge leading us up to the summit.

Descent by the same itinerary, returning to the Tour village at around 2pm.

Price includes guiding fee and supervision, and the loan of certain equipment
Does not include, the Col de Balme return ticket, half board refuge accommodation.
The guides accommodation to be divided between participants.
Envisage return Col de Balme ticket 30 €, and refuge half board 70 €
